"Southern New Mexico Down Syndrome Families is a non-profit organization exclusively for charitable, educational and social
purposes, promoting public awareness, providing support to families, and improving the quality of life and opportunities for those
people touched by Down syndrome, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt
organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The first Buddy Walk planning meeting will take place Wednesday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Sagecrest Park, just west of Roadrunner and
Golf Club Rd.
Last year we got off to a late start and still had a very successful walk thanks to the hard work of many volunteers,
so an earlier start this year should make things a little less hectic. If the Buddy Walk is held as part of the NMSU Homecoming Parade
as in the past, it would take place on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
